"So, as I was saying"

Just the other day, er' last month, er' a couple of months ago............where or where does the time go.......I was talking about Christmas and now we are into February...and it's even a short month!
God, where do I begin.....I think working backwards is always a good solution.
Well, today has been like most days for the last couple of months. Been gettin up a 3:00 AM and worrying if I am going to have anything scheduled and by 3:00 PM, I have put in a full day's work.
Here I am the "king of the Internet", and all I do is check my mail, read two on-line newspapers, read 2 blogs from the previous day, The Front Burner and The Dallas Observer Blog.
I owe everybody a e-mail. I have ten zillion things to blog about.
Oh yeah, one of them is about the Kirkin' of the Tartans.which happened last Sunday.
For those of you who know me, going to church hasn't been on my list of things to do for some 25-30 years.
But I'VE MADE IT FOR TWO WEEKS IN A ROW!!
Amazing, huh.
This past Sunday Pattye and I went to the First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Worth with her dad, Clark Williams and his wife Wanda.
The occasion was the Kirkin' of the Tartans.
I'll not go into a lengthy discussion of what this is about other than to point you to the following link Kirkin' of the Tartans. But anyway it was a great learning experience about faith and tradition.
And then the previous week Pattye and I found ourselves at the First Presbyterian Church of Oak Cliff.
I've been to Denton with Pattye to help her at her store, which by the way is doing great.
I've added several new customers in my pool business.
I still work week-ends at Fountainhead Pools.
I still work for you-know-who now almost three days a week.
And on the eighth day of the week I rest.
You know what, this is starting to sound like a friggin' letter you get at Christmas time telling everyone about what has been going on for the last year.
So, forget about the last couple of months. Let's move on.
I've got two hours of American Idol to catch tonight and then I think I get some sleep and write about the things that make me laugh when I get up tomorrow morning.
So there!!

Hey, where have you been? Denton is not an acceptable answer. I sure see an awful lot of time gaps, are you just getting up too late in the day to do your duty to your readers?
